Entries are now open for the 2015 NSW Women's Senior Order of Merit.
The Women’s Senior Order of Merit is open to female amateur golfers, 55 years of age and over, who hold a current Australian or overseas equivalent handicap, and who have a Golf Australia handicap of 29.4 and under. In 2015, the Women’s Senior OOM will move from a championship-to-championship competition to a calendar year competition (in line with MSOOM, Vardon and Jean Derrin). As a result, the 2015 WSOOM season will run from the 2015 Women’s NSW Senior Championship (inclusive) until the 31 December 2015.
The winner of the Women’s Senior OOM will be the player that accrues the highest total of points for scratch performances in designated WSOOM events. This year will also see the introduction of a Women’s Senior OOM Nett Competition (run concurrently with the scratch competition). A player’s final points total will comprise all points accrued from her best six (6) performances in designated events during that season. Once a player plays more than six designated events, her worst performance (e.g. lowest points total from a designated event) drops off for each additional event she plays.
