Entries open for Australian Junior Championships

Entries are now open for the 2012 Australian Junior Championships to be played from 11-13 April the Girls Championship to be played at Carbrook Golf Club in Brisbane, and the Boys Championship at Bribie Island Golf Club, one hour north of Brisbane. With last year s Boys Champion having left the junior ranks, the event is wide open for a new champion. The event s youngest ever winner, SA s Anthony Murdaca from South Australia will be back to try and win for a second time, while last year s Girls Champion, NSW s Cathleen Santoso will be hoping to make it tow in a row. Both events have stellar honour rolls, with past winners including Adam Scott, Jason Day, Wendy Doolan and Jan Stephenson. With a place in the Australian Open field up for grabs for both winners, there will be plenty of tension come the final round. With the boy s handicap limit of 4.4 and the girl s 15.4, players are encouraged to enter as soon as possible.
