There will be 132 players exempt into the championship proper, with non-exempt players required to contest qualifying on Monday, October 17th 2016 at Virginia or Keperra Country golf clubs (additional venues may be considered dependent on entry numbers).
Ten players will advance to the championship field from those qualifying competitions joining twelve exempt players.
The tournament is open to Male Professional and Amateur golfers whose Golf Australia Handicap does not exceed 4.4 strokes. Amateur golfers must enter via the Queensland Open website.
Australian PGA members and all other non-Australian PGA members must enter via the PGA Australia website.
Entries close on Thursday, September 29th 2016 at 5.00 pm (AEDT).
