Eric Apperly finals looming

Concord and Stonecutters Ridge have maintained their perfect winning record in Eric Apperly Shield after four rounds.

Bonnie Doon likewise, are also yet to taste defeat in the 2017 interclub competition and took a massive step towards claiming their pool with a decisive win over chief rivals, Oatlands in a one sided affair at their Pagewood home base, six matches to nil.

In Pool one, Pennant Hills look to have booked their place in the Semi-finals after a decisive 5/1 victory over Monash at the Lakes. The Hill’s Jake Minney was the standout, with a big 7&6 win.

The Lakes put Castle Hill’s Chances of Making the semi finals to sleep with a four matches to 2 win at home. Thomas Kaidev was the pick of the winners for the home side, with a 5&4 result.

St. Michael’s, bolstered by the return from Europe of lead player John Lyras, who won 4&3, and the dominant win by Aiden Powter, 7&*6, but it seems it's too little too late for the Maroubra outfit with one round to go.

Concord did it easy keeping their perfect record in tact in 2017 with a big 5/1 win over Manly at home. Brandan Biddle led the way with a 6&4 win, along with the Gadd Brothers, Blade and Joshua, who posted 4&3 and 4&2 wins also.

Pymble defeated Liverpool to remain, mathematically at least, in the hunt to defend their 2016 shield crown. A long and unlikely set of scenarios will need to occur, however. James Conran and Reid Brown the big winners with 7&6 results.

NSW and Long Reef played out a 3-all draw in a result that was going to have little impact on the semi finalist.

Bonnie Doon hammered Oatlands 6/ Nil in a one sided result at home, which meant The Doon leapfrogged the Western Sydney side at the top of the table and now lead by 1/2 a point with one round to play. ??Bankstown beat Cronulla 3 1/2 to 2 1/2 in a tight affair with Yihyeon Choi winning easily for Bankstown 6&4.

North Ryde took care of the Australian 3 1/2 to 2 1/2 with Michael Spackman the big winner 8&7.

Stonecutters Ridge has all but assured themselves of a semi place after an easy win over Cromer at home 4 1/2 to 1 1/2. Cameron and Andrew Rios Ceballos big winners again 5/4 and 5/3.

Woolooware defeated Antill Park 4/2 with Jared Brown the best for the Shire side with a 5&4 win.

Cumberland easily accounted for Killara 5/1 in the final match, with Jarred Madeleine, the best of a bunch of big winners for Cumberland, winning 7&5.
