Pennant Hills, Concord and Bonnie Doon are through the semi-finals of the 2017 Eric Apperly Shield, while Stonecutters Ridge progressed to the preliminary playoff against the country division champions, ACT, after the last round-robin matches on Sunday.
Concord made it five from five in Sunday's contest against Long Reef at Long Reef, with solid wins to Mitchell Norbis, Blade Gadd, Oliver Payne and Jackson Hall. Defending Champions, Pymble saw their title defence come to an end when they could only manage three matches all draw with Manly.
Pennant Hills took top honours in pool one with a tight 3 1/2 to 2 1/2 win over Avondale at Monash County Club. Andrew Richards, Ben Clapham and Jake Minney grabbed wins for the Hills, to secure the win was and not lose top spot to St.Michael's after the Maroubra club trounced Castle Hill six-nil.
Stonecutters Ridge Golf Club made it a perfect five from five also with a 3 1/2 to 2 1/2 win against Woolooware at Woolooware. Miguel Villa and Mark Hancock recorded solid wins for the Ridge, who will now meet the Country Division Champions, ACT, in a preliminary playoff at Windsor Golf Club this Sunday to determine who will face Concord in a fortnight.
Bonnie Doon secured top spot in Pool Three with a six nil win over North Ryde at Cronulla to grab the second seed position for the Semi finals to be held in two weeks time at Windsor Golf Club, where they will play third seed, Pennant Hills.
