Grange Golf Club duo Cassidy Evreniadis and Liam Georgiadis have taken out the first girls & boys Golf SA Junior Opens of the 2014/15 summer.
Players faced perfect conditions throughout the competition with the first 18 holes at Blackwood Golf Club and final round at The Vines of Reynella Golf Club.
Evreniadis, playing off a handicap of three, claimed the girls open with rounds of 80-73 (153), 9 strokes ahead of runner up Matilda Wheare (Glenelg) who had rounds of 82 & 80 (162).
Taylah Cooper (HCap 12) claimed the net event with net scores of 76, 70 (146).
In the Boy’s Junior Open, Georgiadis claimed the title after a solid first round of 71 & a second round of 78, a combined total of 149, ensuring the narrow win by one stroke ahead of Mount Osmond’s David Farmer 74 & 76 (150).
Jack Korotcoff (Kooyonga) with a net total of 133 won the net aggregate event by 4 strokes ahead of Harrison Burner (The Grange).
