Fab three get a thrill at NSW

Three fabulous ladies got the thrill of a lifetime today when they had the opportunity play the famous New South Wales Golf Club alongside TV Personality Deborah Hutton.

The Lucky trio from Stonecutters Ridge Golf Club, Emma Pittman, Deb Crofts, and Shannan Webber were guests of Golf NSW for the day after Emma won the 2016 Golf NSW Play Golf with Deborah Hutton Membership competition simply for taking up a membership of an affiliated NSW Golf Club last year.

Emma invited her close friends Deb and Shannan along, but not before a bit of hard-nosed decision making was taken at Stonecutters Ridge to work out who was going to come along for the experience.

“We had to do paper – scissors – rock to see who Emma was going to take,” the girls laughed.

The La Perouse layout’s daunting reputation, along with some gentle reminders from their husbands about how tough it can play meant that the girls naturally had a few butterflies in the stomach as they prepared to tee off.

“We’re feeling pretty nervous,” Deb Crofts exclaimed. “We’ve never played here before.”

“Our husbands have played here. They’ve been telling us stories, which holes are the best, and not to hit it into the water,” they grinned.

“We’re excited that we’re playing this close to the coast,” they smiled.

With the experience of Hutton to guide them, and despite a mulligan due to the first tee shot being ‘for the Camera’, the girls managed to get away to a good start, all safely hitting the first fairway.

“We couldn’t have asked for a better day; the weather is perfect,” Emma beamed.

There’s going to be plenty of envy back at the club; It’s going to be a great day,” she said.
