Courtesy: Golf Queensland 2010 FINAL RESULTS Gavin Fairfax is the 2010 Keperra Bowl champion after completing a four-under par 68 at Keperra Country Golf Club. Sitting on an 8-shot overnight lead, and showing little sign of nerves through his opening holes, Fairfax&aposs final round included four birdies and an eagle to finish four shots clear of the field on 265. His 23-under par total marked the lowest aggregate score in the six years that the world ranking event has been hosted by Keperra. Victorian JIn Jeong secured second place at 269 (-19) following another course record equalling 9-under par 63. Like Gavin Fairfax the day before, Jeong&aposs round included nine birdies and nine pars. Blake McGrory (Surfers Paradise) was third on 271 (-17) following an excellent final round 6-under par 66, with Marika Batibasaga finishing a further two shots back on 273 (-15) with a final round 4-under par 68. The towering 21-year old Fairfax, who is looking to move to the US to attend Augusta State University later this year, said he was delighted with his win. “I&aposve been around Keperra a fair few times and its obviously easier when you know the layout,” he said. “I was a little bit nervous on the opening holes but that didn&apost last long and I was very happy to shoot a 68 today.” Viraat Badhwar (Indooroopilly) continued his golden shot-making run for the week, adding to his second round albatross with a final round hole-in-one on the 199 metre par 3 12th hole. “I really love playing that corner of the course,” said Viraat who won a $1000 voucher courtesy of sponsor Toro Australia for today&aposs ace.
