False start for Men on Final Day

It wasn't the start of the final day the NSW Men's team wanted.

Despite it being a dead rubber the 5 1/2 to 1/2 loss to Western Australia on a cold, wet morning at Tasmania Golf Club was a sobering reminder to all that anyone can win on their day.

Jye Pickin unluckily could only manage a half in his match, three putts from the edge of the green on 18 gifting his opponent a vital win.

James Conran and Lucas Higgins battled all day, but couldn't make much of an impression on the early leads their opponents gathered.

Jordie Garner holed putts, but Hayden Hopewell made more than his share as well.

Blake Windred fell to a red hot Josh Greer 2&1, while in the 'battle of the big guns' Josh Armstong lost to Hayden Barron.

The shining light for NSW was again Harrison Crowe, who ensured himself of an undefeated players medallion with a 4&3 win.
