My name is Matt Bugden. I just wanted to congratulate you and your organisation for bringing the ladies Golf tournament to Royal Canberra Golf Club.

rnToday I took my 9 year old Golf enthusiast son to watch the last round. We were sitting on the end of the 9th green when Kristie Smith had just completed the hole. As she walked off the green she stopped paused went back to her bag and gave my son 
Jacob a Nike ball. This absolutely made his day and was such a lovely gesture from Kristie (even after a mobile phone had gone off during her back swing from the bunker). We tried to hang around at the end so that we could thank her personally and of course congratulate her on a wonderful win but she was obviously tied up with the media etc. I would really like her to know how much Jacob got a thrill out of her kind gesture, particularly given it was in the middle of her round.

rnThe other person who had an impact on him was Sarah-Jane Smith. We followed her group for a while and we were struck by her absolute professionalism. She is a fantastic role model for not just young girls but for also young boys who are keen on playing the game of golf, as Jacob is. Even when she probably didn&apost play the last couple of holes as she would have liked, her demeanor was superb. On the 12th hole her drive landed just off the fairway near where we were standing. It was so refreshing to see her relaxed and in conversation with a gentlemen and his family that I think she played in the pro-am with while waiting for her shot. She was then able to play a fantastic second into the green with a tough pin placement.

rnBoth of these woman certainly added to our father and son afternoon. The golf was excellent but more importantly so was their role modeling. If you could either send me their email addresses so that I can thank them, or pass on this message to them, Jacob and I would be most grateful.
