The fourth Fayde Points Challenge event for the year was held at City Golf Club on Sunday 4th June. Teeing off in very chilly conditions, 74 players eventually warmed up to enjoy a beautiful day. The overall boy’s winner was local City member James O’Neill playing off a handicap of 25, with 37 points. The overall girl’s winner was Saya Iritani, from Tamborine Mountain Golf Club who recently progressed from the 9-hole competitions to play in her first 18 hole event with 45 points.

The event was played in conjunction with the annual Ken Layton Memorial Trophy. Ken Layton was a well-respected and long-standing member of City Golf Club. The winner of the Ken Layton Foundation Cup – Best Nett was James O’Neill from City Golf Club with 69, and the winner of the Best Gross which is a Honour Board Event was Johan Arama Pierre from Pacific Golf Club with a score of 74, off a handicap of 2.
