Involved in golf since the age of nine, Ella Fleming has been part of Kooyonga s MYGolf program for a little over two years and during that time has been working hard to develop her game. Described by Centre Coordinator Susie Matthews as a well-rounded athlete, 13 year old Ella enjoys participating in as many activities as possible. During practice sessions, Ella loves to be involved in competitions and is always looking for ways to improve her game. Over the last year in particular, she has enhanced her technical skills which has enabled her to reach the golf level of the MYGolf Skills Challenge. Whilst on the golf course, Ella displays the outstanding course management skills she has developed through the tasks on the Skills Challenge Chart which she has been diligently practicing. Recently Ella has taken her skills to the next level and began competing for Kooyonga Golf Club in a developmental interclub junior match play competition where Susie Matthews has been both pleased and impressed with her results. Ella has performed exceptionally well winning both of her first two matches, said Matthews. She has shown excellent determination and sportsmanship and is a great team member. Congratulations Ella!
