February MYGolfer of the Month: Tyrell Rewai

Nominee Name: Tyrell Rewai MYGolf Centre: Sanctuary Golf Resort State: WA Age: 11 Why should Tyrell be the February MYGolfer of the Month? Tyrell started playing golf 18 months ago along with his brother and sister. Being small framed his first set of clubs were his father&aposs so it was quite a task for him to even hit the ball. Tyrell is always the first to practice sessions and is always putting his hand up to play in competitions. Even though he is only 11 years old, he is regarded as a “senior” amongst the juniors because of his even temperament and enthusiasm for any task. His improvements showed dramatically on the 6th January, 2012 when he played in the Bunbury Junior Open on a course set up harder than it was for the WAPGA 2 years earlier. Tyrell was three over par for the last 11 holes and according to his caddie for the week, Sanctuary Golf Resort Centre Coordinator Ron Trezise, he hit “many great shots”. Tyrell&aposs handicap is now at 17, which is a wonderful achievement given he has only been involved in the game for a short amount of time! Congratulations Tyrell!!
