Felix fires at Portsea

Felix Lin has returned an incredible net 57 at the Portsea Golf Club to take a commanding lead of the overall net section of the Mornington Peninsula Junior Open.

The Kew Golf Club member took 78 shots off a handicap of 21 to finish six shots ahead of Thomas Battye (Berwick Montuna) on net 63.

Leading the overall boys at the halfway mark is Angus O’Brien from Kingston Heath.

O’Brien had five birdies in his round to finish with a one under par 70.

Following closely behind after even par rounds are Samuel Bakes (The National) and Benjamin Paine (Huntingdale).

Keeley Marx (Heritage) has continued her strong form for 2019 and leads the overall girls section after an even par round.

Marx sits seven shots clear of Sara Hidayat (Victoria) who returned a seven over 79.

Play resumes tomorrow at 8:30am from the Sorrento Golf Club.
