finalists have been decided for the Australian Women’s Senior Amateur Championship at Riverside Golf Club, Tasmania.
Two former champions, Sylvia Donohoe (NSW) and Robyn Puckett (Qld), will face each other in the final after downing their opponents in this afternoon’s semi-final.
Puckett had a convincing 3 and 2 win over defending champion Josie Ryan (Qld) whilst Donohoe’s match against Robyn Boniface (NZL) went down to the wire with Donohoe winning on the 18th hole.
Puckett and Donohoe have faced each on two previous occasions in this event, the 2010 and 2011 semi-finals. Puckett went on to win the 2010 Championship whilst Donohoe went on to win the 2011 Championship so it promises to be an exciting final.
Play commences at 8.00 am tomorrow morning.
