First Centre tees off New MyGolf Program

Located in Western Victoria, Mortlake Golf Club was the first Centre to run the new MyGolf program since the relaunch in July, 2014.

Tony Collier (Regional Development Officer, Golf Victoria) held the opening session of the nine week program that proved to be a fun and exciting program for the participants involved.

The MyGolf Coordinator at Mortlake Golf Club, John Snowden, was quite pleased with the ease and flexibility of the new program and found the Coordinator manual and marketing resources rather impressive.

When asked what his participants thought of their new Participant Packs (featuring a 7-iron, PVC golf ball, cap and drawstring bag) Snowden could only speak in praise.

“The packs are great, they all loved them!” said Snowden.

After successfully running his first MyGolf program since the relaunch, Snowden is already planning towards his second program at the beginning of next year.

His focus in the meantime will be around building relationships with the schools in Mortlake in order to try and increase the number of participants.

“We want to get more kids involved” said Snowden.

“We can definitely handle a few more participants!”

Congratulations to John Snowden and his team at Mortlake Golf Club on a wonderful job.
