Five NSW players are representing Australia in the Australian Master of the Amateur Championship that starts on the 7th January at Royal Melbourne Golf Club. Dale Brandt-Richards, Cameron Davis, Harrison Endycott, Troy Moses and Jordan Zunic are getting a taste of what is ahead by playing in the Australian Master of the Amateurs AM-PRO Challenge in the the lead-up to the Championship today with some of Australia&aposs leading professionals, including Peter Senior. The Australian Master of the Amateurs is ranked as the highest world ranking amateur event in Australia with ten countries represented and a limited field of only 54 players. The 2014 Australian Master of the Amateurs Champion will receive an exemption into the 2014 Amateur Championship UK, Porter Cup USA, The Players Amateur USA, The Dogwood Invitational USA, and the Canadian Mens Amateur Championship CAN. The Amateurs participate in the AM-PRO with the Professional golfers on Monday, 6th January 2014. The 2014 Australian Master of the Amateurs Championship will be played from Tuesday, 7th – Friday, 10th January 2014. The Royal Melbourne course is magnificent and conditions are brutal with high winds and extremely firm and fast greens, as witnessed during the recently hosted World Cup and the Australian Masters Championships. Despite the conditions, the boys are confident and looking forward to the challenge. Harrison (pictured) commented he is excited about his first trip to Royal Melbourne and worked hard in the practice rounds with State Coach Dean Kinney on strategies to conquer one of the best courses in the world.
