Tommy Fleetwood and Ricardo Gonzalez share the lead after Saturday&aposs penultimate round at the Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles. England&aposs Fleetwood produced six birdies and an eagle to post a five-under-par round of 67, storming up the leaderboard from third to first in the process on 16 under. And, despite Gonzalez failing to match his previous two rounds of seven under on Saturday, the Argentine carded a round of 70 to ensure that he would join Fleetwood at the top of the leaderboard. Fleetwood, 22, is chasing his maiden European Tour victory having recently graduated from the Challenge Tour, while 43-year-old Gonzalez is looking for a fifth career victory. Fredrik Andersson Hed of Sweden currently occupies third place, just one shot short of the leading duo after a fine round of six under par. But Stephen Gallacher of Scotland was the most impressive performer on Saturday, as he shot an unrivalled round of eight under par to go joint-fourth with Austria&aposs Bernd Wiesberger. Gallacher shot eight birdie, avoiding any dropped shots to post the day&aposs best score. Further down the field, reigning champion Paul Lawrie produced his worst round of the tournament, shooting one under par to find himself tied for 29th place. The chances of him retaining his title look slim, with a near miracle required on the final day if he is to move up the standings. Another former champion, 2010 winner Francesco Molinari, sits even further back tied for 36 after carding one over on Saturday. Of the Australians left in the field, Brett Rumford is the best placed in equal sixth at 12 under, while Marcus Both is a further seven shots behind in a share of 54th.
