Flood first alternate for Women’s British Open

FINAL QUALIFYING SCORES AIS Rookie professional Rebecca Flood is still in with a chance of competing at this year&aposs RICOH Women&aposs British Open despite missing out on an automatic spot in final qualifying. Playing at Hillside Golf Club on Tuesday morning (AEST), Flood lost in a play-off for the spot but will travel to Royal Birkdale Golf Club as the first alternate. If Flood secures a start through the alternate process, it will mark the second consecutive year that the Coonabarabran local has competed at the Women&aposs British Open. New Zealander Lynne Brooky won final qualifying with a 5-under par round of 67.
