Flood surges into lead

CLICK HERE FOR ROUND 2 SCORES AIS/Golf Australia National Squad member Rebecca Flood registered a second round 3-under par 70 to move into a two stroke lead over Western Australia&aposs Jessica Speechley at the NSW Women&aposs Stroke Play at New Brighton Golf Club. Second overnight after he opening round 69, Flood finished at 3-under to move ahead of Round 1 leader Bree Arthur (QLD). Arthur shot a 2-over par 75. Speechley finished with a second round 70 to sit just behind Flood. AIS/Golf Australia National Squad player Stacey Keating (VIC) posted a 1-under par 72 to share fourth position with Olivia Wilson who slipped to a 1-over par 74 after opening round 71. Whitney Hillier (AIS/GA) also finished with a second round 74 to be in outright sixth and seven strokes behind Flood. NSW pair Elle Sandak and Allyce Watkinson share seventh place going into third round- both at 1-over par for the championship. National Squad member Justine Lee shares ninth position with Rebecca Blain. The Johnson and Johnson Club Champions Championship was contested in conjunction with the first two rounds of the Stroke Play Championship.
