Four Australian course superintendents were been part of the course staff at the U.S Open on the famed East Course at Merion Golf Club in Pennsylvania. Australian Golf Course Superintendents Association members Brett Hawkey (Sanctuary Lakes G&CC, VIC), Andy Hugill (Mona Vale GC, NSW) and Dean Lenertz (NSW GC) and Chris Allen (Keysborough GC, VIC) were all part of tournament crew for the USGA championship.
