Foursomes Championship – Picture Perfect!

The Victorian Men’s and Women’s Foursomes Champions have been decided after 36 holes under the most perfect weather conditions at the Heritage Golf and Country Club’s picturesque and well maintained St John’s course. The scores reflected perfection also with Rory Bourke (Southern) and Geoff Drakeford (Commonwealth) winning the men’s title with a score of 143 while Su-Hyun Oh and Jo Charlton (Metropolitan) claimed the women’s title with a 149 total for 36 holes.

The Australian Foursomes Challenge Shield (for men) was won by Darren Stafrace and Matt Ledger representing Woodlands Golf Club with a score of 160. This is a title that has been running since 1912. In the meantime, Lauren Sinclair and Kirsty Hodgkins (Heidelberg) secured the women’s’ best nett 36 hole trophy with a combined handicap of 1 and a nett result of 151 nett.

The Heritage will once again host this championship in 2013 and players are already looking forward to coming back to this great venue! Click here to see final results.
