Ian Frost (Bendigo) has won the 2014 Coomealla Senior Open with three rounds of 77, 72 and 71.
Frost was impressive in the last two rounds after a slowish start for the plus 1 marker. Ian’s 72 & 71 were the two lowest rounds for the tournament which lead to a 4 shot win. Local member Greg Rhodes was runner up with rounds of 78, 73 & 73.
Ignatius Duivenvoorden (Yarram) has successfully defended his 2013 title to win the nett event by two.
Commealla Golf Club is “nestled on the banks of the Murray River and offers picturesque views as you tee up for a challenging and enjoyable round” (Coomealla Memorial Sporting Club Limited, 2014).
