(13 June 2011 – Mason, Ohio)

Lisa Ferrero took the lead in round one and never looked back as she went on to win the $135,000 Teva Championship Presented by Time Warner Cable. She carded rounds of 66-70-71 for a 6-under 207 total. She kept it below the gusting winds on the final day to record one birdie and one bogey and a one shot victory over last-start winner Kathleen Ekey. Finishing in a tie for third at 4-under par were Leah Wigger and Ashley Prange.

Earlier in the year, Ferrero commented, "Thank God the monkey is off my back," after her first professional victory at the Symetra Classic. The monkey is certainly off her back now as Ferrero capitalises on the positive momentum following her first LPGA Futures Tour victory.

Learning to win at a professional level was key for Ferrero who admitted she wasn&apost nervous for Sunday&aposs final round saying, "I wasn&apost nervous at all today which kind of scared me because usually when you aren&apost nervous you don&apost play well," said Ferrero. "Even on the last hole we were joking around on the last putt, I just went with the flow."

Ekey, the winner of last week&aposs Ladies Titan Tire Challenge, pulled within one of Ferrero until a wayward drive on No. 17 resulted in a bogey. Heading into the final hole two strokes behind, Ekey dropped a bomb on the final hole to record her third birdie of the day and finish the tournament 5-under par. However, she came up one short of Ferrero who now leads the J Golf Race for the Card with $37,412 in season earnings.

Of the Australians, only Leanne Bowditch made the cut, picking up her best finish in a Futures Tour event in a tie for 6th after rounds of  69, 72 and 70 to finish four shots behind the winner.
