It took a playoff, but Virginia&aposs Jenny Suh claimed her first professional victory on the FUTURES Tour on Sunday. After finishing regulation at 12-under par total 201 tied with Korea&aposs Seo-Jae Lee, both players went back to the 18th to fight it out for the title. It only took one hole after Lee’s approach shot was too long and she couldn’t get up and down. Suh two-putted for victory and immediately called her Mum in Korea exclaiming, “Mum, I won.”

rnSuh and Lee began the final round tied for the lead and it came down to virtual matchplay with the players trading birdies and pars throughout the round. After the phone call to her Mum, Suh said, “I just kept shooting for the pins. Luckily it was raining, so that was to our benefit. We could stick balls close to the hole. I thought, &aposYou&aposve got nothing to lose. What&aposs the point of being a wimp today?’”

rnThe best of the Australians was again Kristie Smith who completed a strong weekend with rounds of 67 and 70 to finish in a tie for 25th. A disappointing opening round of 75 left her playing catch-up all weekend. Rachel Bailey finished in a tie for 45th after consistent rounds of 72, 72 and 71.
