GA Senior Selection Committee

Golf Australia is introducing a Senior Selection Committee to coordinate the selection of teams and players aged 55 years and over to represent Australia or Golf Australia in men’s, women’s or mixed team and individual competitions.

The Committee will be comprised of a Chairperson (member of the GA Board) and not less than two (2) other members including a minimum of one person of either gender.

Accordingly, expressions of interest to be part of this Committee are invited from interested golfers. Committee members will be appointed on the basis of suitability, experience and qualification. The desired skills and experience will include:

          o   Current member of a GA affiliated club;

          o   Broad understanding of Australian senior golf as either a player or official in GA, State, District or club events;

          o   Broad understanding of one or more of the following:

                    –    Elite Level Golf Performance;

                    –    Team Representation (inc associated protocols);

                    –    International Senior Golf Events;

The Committee will meet at least twice per year with additional meetings convened as required. Meetings may be held in person, by telephone or by video conference or by any combination of these media.

Expressions of Interest are required by 5pm on Monday 26 August via email to championships@golf.org.au

Following consideration of expressions received, the committee members will be appointed by the GA Board for a 2-year term commencing from September 2019.
