Winning one Monthly Medal is tough enough, but doing it twice in a row is a feat very rarely seen at golf clubs across Australia.
But Gary Martin showed it can be done as he added the February Monthly Medal to his January one at Spring Valley Golf Club on Saturday.
Playing off a handicap of 16 during the morning, Martin shot a nett 66 to claim a narrow one stroke victory over Kang Lee and in the process win a second consecutive Monthly Medal.
He also shot a nett 66 when playing off 17 in the January Monthly Medal, so it will be interesting to see whether he can make it three on the trot in March.
Stephen Leppert was the best of the afternoon players with a nett 69, but all the honours were with Martin.
