Monday 5 December, 2011 Despite a wild storm and an Elton John concert the night prior, the 2011 NSW Women&aposs 3BBB State Final was played in good conditions today at Cypress Lakes Golf Resort in the Hunter Valley. 21 teams, eight from Metropolitan Sydney and 13 from NSW Country, battled it out over 18-holes to determine the Champions. Scores were consistent, however it was the team from Gerringong Golf Club (Pamela Ford (22), Lola Scott (33) and Kate Quinn (40)) who eventually took the spoils, finishing the day with a great score of +14. Runners up with +10 were Tenterfield Golf Club (Letitia Jones (15), Michelle Cockburn (20), and Sophie Cusack (12)), while Yowani Golf Club (Sue Handley (21), June Osland (23) and Colleen Day (19)) finished in third spot just one further behind on +9. Pre-Event Article Eight metropolitan and 13 country teams will contest the 2011 NSW Women&aposs 3BBB State Final being held at Cypress Lakes Golf Resort on 4-6 December 2011. The event started back in January with club qualifying rounds. Winners at club level then progressed to district / metropolitan play-offs. These play-offs determined the State Finalists. List of State Finalists Activities will kick off on Sunday 4 December with a welcome BBQ for the players before they take to the course on Monday. The event concludes with a presentation dinner on Monday night to reward players for their efforts and to provide a festive finale to a fantastic event.
