Get the golf bug this October

The NRL and AFL have new premiers and an exciting winter of footy has drawn to a close.

Some will mourn the end of the season, but spring is a magical and exciting time of year, with longer days, sunshine, optimism and, of course, golf to the fore.

That’s because October is Golf Month!

Starting on Sunday, and running throughout the month of October, Golf Month will see clubs and facilities all around Australia opening their doors and welcoming people to take part in a range of fun activities for all ages and abilities.

Whether you’re new to the game, returning from a break or playing occasionally, there’s something for everyone in October.

Among our favourite Golf Month activities across Australia are a ‘smash the drone’ challenge at Sandhurst Golf Club in Victoria, the Golf Club Expo at Kingston Beach Golf Club in Tasmania, ‘Black Friday Big Hole Golf’ at Charlestown Golf Club in New South Wales and a ‘ladies 9, wine and fashion show’ at Busselton Golf Club in Western Australia – but check out what’s on near you.

You can also join in by heading to a driving range, playing a quick nine holes after work, giving Swing Fit a go or trying innovative formats of the game such as footgolf, speedgolf, pitch and putt, and even disc golf.

If you’re already a passionate golfer, you are a huge part of this year’s Golf Month celebrations too. By sharing the golf bug, you could win one of four ultimate golf bug adventures to Barnbougle, Cape Wickham and Ocean Dunes.
