Golf Australia National Squad member Matthew Giles is set for his appearance at the Australian Masters at Kingston Heath which begins on Thursday. Giles, a sophomore at the University of Southern California, will tee off in the same field as his golf idol, Tiger Woods. Giles will play with fellow Australian and European Tour player Wade Ormsby and Australia&aposs Adam Groom. The trio are due to tee off at midday on the 10th tee. Giles has begun his first full season with a fourth at the Isleworth-UCF Collegiate and a tie for fourth at the CordeValle Collegiate. He also tied for fourth at the Western Refining College All-American Golf Classic. He is looking to build on his All-American honorable mention in his freshman season. Originally from Caringbah, NSW, Giles was also a 2008 All-Pac-10 second team pick and a GCAA All-Pacific Region selection.
