Story courtesy: USC Men&aposs Golf The No. 3 USC men&aposs golf team, boasting four returning All-Americans including the current No. 2 player in the country Matt Giles, continues its quest for its first championship at the 2009 NCAA Championship Final at the Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio, May 26-30. Giles, a 2008 All-American honorable mention selection, had two top 11 finishes as a freshman and six in the top 27 … He has dominated as a sophomore, vaulting to the No. 2 ranking among NCAA golfers thanks to seven top 7 finishes and nine in the top 11. He was top 7 in the first five the events this year. The Trojans, however, will have to play without 2007 NCAA individual champion and two-time All-American first teamer Jamie Lovemark, who is out of the lineup for the second time this season. The first was due to a broken finger. This time, a muscle injury in his ribcage has forced him out of the lineup. USC&aposs starting five will consist of Giles, senior Tom Glissmeyer, sophomore Tim Sluiter (all returning All-Americans) and freshman Steve Lim, with senior Ryan Linton replacing Lovemark. Play at the Par-71, 7,255-yard course begins each day at 7 a.m.
