Glenelg and Royal Adelaide into Women’s A1 final

Royal Adelaide&aposs Megan Bleeze Metropolitan Pennant – Women’s A1 Round 5 summary Glenelg and Royal Adelaide will contest next weekend&aposs A1 finals after a round of one sided results in yesterday&aposs final round of women&aposs pennants. Glenelg finished top of the table after yesterday&aposs round five defeat of The Grange, while in the match of the round Royal Adelaide leapfrogged Grange courtesy of a 5 0 defeat of Kooyonga. In yesterday s other match the Golf SA Fringe side finished the season on a high note with a victory over Blackwood. All eyes were on the contest between Royal Adelaide and Kooyonga in a contest to decide next weekend&aposs finalists. For Royal Adelaide, Megan Bleeze got her side off to the perfect start with a 5&4 win over Linda Ferris while Rebecca Sykes, Fiona Morrison, Jovanna Bozanic and Caitlin Roberts all had victories. Glenelg made easy work of The Grange 5 – 0, with Lee, Zhou, James, Yap and Beasley all winning comfortably and are well primed for next week s final. Golf SA Fringe finished the Women&aposs A1 season with a solitary win, over Blackwood 4.5 – 0.5, courtesy of some dominant displays in the leading matches by top seeds Emma Ash, Rachel Taylor, Reo Jenner and Acacia Curtis, while Caitlin Lakin squared her match with Paula White. In next week&aposs final hosted by Royal Adelaide, defending champions Royal Adelaide will be looking to claim its 4th title in 5 years taking their championship tally to 14. Glenelg however will be gunning for its 19th title and will be looking to repeat their 2009 effort against Royal Adelaide when they won the title 3.5 – 1.5.
