Go Energy boost for NSW golf clubs

Golf NSW announces new major supporting partner – GO energy

Golf NSW is pleased to announce that GO energy has accepted to come on board as our major supporting partner for energy supply and solar solutions.

Energy is a major expense in a club's operation, and GO energy provide clubs with an opportunity to significantly reduce this cost through solar solutions.

In addition, GO energy in many cases can deliver substantial cost savings to clubs with access to lowest industry pricing for traditional retail energy supply (electricity/gas)

About GO energy

GO energy is a clean energy technology provider with a market objective to transition its customers away from energy wastage and non-renewable energy sources into an environment of efficient energy usage based on renewable energy sources.

Transition necessitates a journey, and GO energy holds electricity and gas retail licenses in Australia so that it can work with customers to progressively move their energy needs to a clean energy future.

GO energy has been providing energy management services to the Australian market since 2010. Former parent company, Urban Group Energy of NSW, registered GO energy as the consolidated energy management entity in 2014 and merged its solar business, SolarFund, under GO energy.

In 2015 GO energy, as part of the Go energy Group, was merged with Solco, an energy efficiency company of long standing in Western Australia.

GO energy is a member of the Clean Energy Council and a gold member of the Australian Solar Council.

GO energy solutions

GO energy offers a compelling range of energy products and services. The focus is on renewable energy and we have funding options to deliver PV solar solutions to businesses and entities both large and small. By virtue of being a retailer GO energy can also bundle non-renewable and renewable energy to provide a one-stop-shop for energy purchases.

GO energy’s preferred approach to resolving any customer’s needs is to firstly ensure that any cost-beneficial energy efficiency initiative is explored. Aside from behavioural changes, we find key opportunities can exist with lighting and power factor correction (where network demand charges are based on optimum power utilisation). Once we have brought energy usage down to a non-discretionary load we then work with you to design the optimal renewable energy solution. This will be enhanced in 2016 with the introduction of battery storage solutions.

Considering Solar

GO energy is at the forefront of solar in Australia in two key areas; our initial development and enforcement of quality assurance monitoring at overseas manufacturing plants that has morphed into the Positive Quality program run by the Australia Solar Council, and our work in the establishment of consumption-based Power Plant Agreements purpose-built for the commercial sector, covering Large sites in the Australian National Electricity Market.

GO energy is across all facets of PV solar implementation, from CEC-accredited design and installation to innovative funding. All GO energy proposals cover every facet of a solar installation, including all negotiations, paperwork, appointments, regulatory requests and certifications with all authorities. The process, while quite involved behind the scenes, does not require any effort by any club.

GO energy – a local provider

GO energy is a national energy solutions provider with a local presence. We have Account Management staff located across regional NSW to provide face-to-face communication with our rural clients. And GO energy utilises the services of local, CEC-accredited solar installation businesses wherever possible. With a large proportion of the solar solutions portfolio being delivered under PPA GO energy has ongoing ownership of these systems and is looking to establish long-term relationships with local businesses to deliver our maintenance programs for these systems.

GO energy in the club community

GO energy is already present in the NSW golf club community, providing retail electricity at several clubs, as well as agreements for solar installations.

We look forward to providing a great outcome to the members of Golf NSW and will be in contact with each club to introduce ourselves.
