Goggin tastes some success

Tasmanian PGA Touring Professional Mathew Goggin tasted some success at the weekend in the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open. The 38-year-old finished tied for thirteenth place after shooting rounds of 68, 69, 70 and 66, an eleven-under-par total of 273. Goggin carded twenty birdies, five bogeys and two double bogeys throughout the 72-hole championship conducted at TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas, Nevada. American Ryan Moore took out the championship with an incredible twenty four-under-par total of 260. Moore carded rounds of 61, 68, 65 and 66. Of the Australians contesting the event Queensland s Jason Day was the best placed finishing in outright fourth place at eighteen-under-par. Goggin is currently placed 192nd on the 2012 PGA Tour FedEx Cup standings with 103 points and earnings totalling $183,335.00.
