Golf Australia appoints Club Support Manager

Golf Australia is pleased to confirm the recent appointment of Paul Vardy as the company’s new Club Support Manager.

Vardy has over 20 years’ experience in golf club management, having worked in Assistant Manager positions at Eastern Golf Club, Yarra Yarra Golf Club and Royal Melbourne Golf Club before being the General Manager at Kew Golf Club.

Vardy will be responsible for implementing the club support portal and health check tool, developing resources and liaising with State Associations’ club support personnel with the end goal to improve the capability, financial performance and sustainability of golf clubs across Australia.

Golf Australia CEO Stephen Pitt said he was pleased to welcome Vardy.

“Paul will play an important role in the implementation of our key strategies to assist Australian golf clubs now and in the future,” Pitt said.

“He has extensive experience in club management which makes him an excellent fit for liaising with and understanding the challenges and opportunities golf clubs currently face.”

Vardy is has now commenced in the role.
