On Tuesday the 9th August, 500 children selected by the Department of Education were involved in a golf clinic conducted by Performance Golf with the support of Golf Australia and the MYGolf Program. Hosted by Alice Springs Golf Club, the clinic aimed to introduce the game of golf to children who may not otherwise get the chance to experience it. With donated clubs, balls and bags the children were taken through the basics of golf by 50 golf professionals and there was even a special visit from Rugby League legend Peter Sterling.
