Golf Australia CEO Stephen Pitt visited GOLFTEC in Melbourne last week- a new alternative method of playing and practicing golf.
The GOLFTEC concept is based on a simple idea. Use technology to encourage busy people to find a small amount of time to practice and improve or have fun playing golf. Players can practice or play as many or as few holes as they choose. Players play their strokes against a screen as high speed cameras monitor ball revolutions, flight trajectory and shot angles. The varying thicknesses of the mats allows players to practice that cheeky wedge out of the rough or a crisp 5-iron off the fairway. GOLFTEC is a new golf experience. Pick up a club- how low can you go?
