A few weeks ago, Ned Stokes, Bob Muir, Nicki Sheehan and Steve Button returned from Tasmania, where they played four of the best courses in the world – Barnbougle Dunes, Barnbougle Lost Farm, Cape Wickham and Ocean Dunes.
They’re still smiling now, and deservedly so.
They earned every special moment of their once-in-a-lifetime trips, which they each shared with a loved one, in great style.
Ned, Bob, Nicki and Steve won these experiences last year for sharing the golf bug during Golf Month, Australian golf’s annual campaign to drive participation.
Memorable, sensational, wonderful and amazing were just a handful of the superlatives being thrown around by the group as they stepped off the private aircraft and returned to normality.
The team at Air Adventure Golf Tours, who made a great contribution to growing the game by providing the prize for Golf Month 2017, impressed Ned Stokes, whilst the group clearly enjoyed each other’s company.
“Georgia and I would like to thank Golf Australia and Air Adventure Golf Tours for setting up the Golf Month promotion,” said Stokes.
“The travel arrangements worked beautifully, our pilot was professional and helpful, and the other winners helped create a party atmosphere on an unforgettable trip.”
These feelings were echoed by Steve Button. “The service from the moment I was picked up from my front door until we arrived back at the airport could not be faulted. Everyone was so happy, informative and a pleasure to deal with!”
Like all the winners, Nicki Sheehan loved the golf courses. “We had such a great time. The weather was perfect, the courses were all in great condition and were all very challenging in their own right. They are undoubtedly some of the top golf courses Australia has to offer.”
It seems we’ve set a high bar for Golf Month promotions, so keep an eye on the websiteand promotional materials at your local club or golf facility as we move towards October. As our four winners show, we can all play a role in growing the game, and what could be better than sharing something you love with someone you love?!
On that note, we’ll leave the last word to Bob Muir.
“Oh, the joy of being there,” said Muir when we first checked in with him after the trip.
“Frequent ocean vistas from high vantage points, distant greens, rugged rocky shorelines, super-fast putting surfaces, spectacular holes and amazing architecture. I will recommend this trip to everyone and advise them not to wait too long!”
