Creative and certainly impressive entries were received from numerous golf clubs across Australia in this year’s Golf Month Innovation Prize.
But only one golf club and their Golf Month activity held throughout October could be selected.
We are pleased to announce that Flagstaff Hill Golf Club in South Australia has won the $15,000 marketing package with Australian Golf Digest which will include pages in the Australian Golf Digest magazine, advertising across the Australian Golf Digest website and Facebook posts.
The club held a Food, Wine & Golf Open Day opening their doors to 13 wineries, 2 breweries, live music and food vendors to promote South Australian products and golf. The day was aimed at introducing a new demographic to golf and reducing traditional barriers within the sport.
The day was promoted via social media, leaflet drops, notice boards and the Golf Month website which resulted in 200 attendees made up of families, friends of members, children, and the general community.
Activities on the day included face painting, a jumping castle, a Golf SA junior golf dart board, driving competitions, and wine tasting.
Congratulations to all other golf clubs who submitted entries and have done a tremendous job in promoting their activities for Golf Month.
