Golf NSW seeks EOIs for a new Board Director



It is with regret that the Board of Golf NSW announces the resignation of Director, Jean Moran. The Board would like to sincerely thank Jean for all her time, effort, and valuable input during her time on the Board of Golf NSW. To fulfil its obligations under the constitution, the Board of Golf NSW will be undertaking a process to fill the casual Board vacancy, and has decided to seek Expressions of Interest from the wider golfing community to assist this process. The Position

Golf NSW is currently seeking Expressions of Interest from female golf club members who may be interested in a role as a Board Director. Under the Golf NSW constitution, the Board of Golf NSW is to consist of nine (9) Directors, and a casual vacancy currently exists for a female Director position. As a Board Director, you will be responsible for the Governance and Fiduciary interests of Golf NSW and its members, and be actively involved with the progression of the organisation through its Strategic Plan. The term of the appointment is until the Golf NSW AGM on October 29, 2014, after which time the appointed Director would have the opportunity to continue in the role, subject to an election process. Board Meetings are conducted approximately six times annually at the Golf NSW Office at Arncliffe, Sydney, and in addition there are three Council meetings annually, at which your attendance would also be expected. Potential involvement with Board sub-committees may necessitate additional meetings throughout the year. The role of Director of Golf NSW is a voluntary/un-paid position, however travel and other expenses associated with fulfilling your role will be reimbursed.

Desirable Qualifications and Professional Experience

Whilst not essential, professional experience/qualifications in the fields of Commercial, Marketing/Promotion, Change Management, Legal, Communications and Information Systems, have been identified as areas of expertise that would complement the current Board skills set.
