Wayne Rostron and Brett Dwyer from Griffith Golf Club and Golf Professional David Brockie have offered to assist smaller clubs in the district who do not have a golf professional. This assistance will be with both juniors and adults. A community coaching day will be held at Griffith Golf Club on June 1st. This day is open to anyone who would like to assist with juniors at their local club. A teacher training day will be held on June 2nd. Riverina Teacher Training Days
Two successful teacher training days were recently held at Deniliquin Golf Club and Wagga Wagga Country Club.
Moulamein, Balranald Central, Deniliquin South, Gerogery PS, Carrathool PS, Jerilderie PS, Deniliquin North, Sacred Heart Tocumwal and Mayrung Public schools attended the Deniliquin training day.
Willans HS, Murrumburrah HS, Eurongilly Public, Forest Hill PS, Narrandera PS, Ardlethan Central, Walbundrie Public, Marrar Public, Franklin Public, Nangus Public, and Tarcutta PS schools participated in the training day held at Wagga Wagga.
The schools will now complete an in-school program followed by a visit to their local golf club.
