Golf Queensland seeks Manager – Golf Operations

Golf Queensland is the peak body for amateur golf in Queensland with a healthy membership base of over 70,000 players. The organisation aims to promote and foster the game of golf through the provision of a range of direct and indirect benefits to golfers of all ages and abilities. This critically important role of Manager – Golf Operations provides leadership and management of Golf Queensland Golf Operations staff and volunteers across a diverse range of programs and services including Golf Queensland&aposs High Performance Programs, Tournaments, and Rules and Handicapping Advisory Services. You will be primarily responsible for: Development and implementation of operational plans and budgets relating to the High performance, Tournaments, and Rules and Handicapping program areas Provision of direct support to the delivery of Golf Queensland tournament and rules and handicapping advisory services Monitoring, evaluation and reporting on the performance of the Golf Operations programs Development and maintenance of effective communication and working relationships with key stakeholders Leading, motivating and managing staff and volunteers What we are looking for: The successful candidate is likely to possess skills and experience in the following areas: Strong management/leadership skills Delivery of golf tournaments, rules and handicapping and talent development programs Planning and project management Successful written and verbal communication skills Great interpersonal skills Applications must be made using email through info@golfqueensland.org.au and follow the process outlined in the Position Description below.
