Golf SA extend HP program regionally

Golf SA&aposs High Performance Program is set for an expansion, with an inaugural regional high performance program being held in Renmark in October. The two-day intensive training program mixes direct tuition with on-course playing sessions, and includes video analysis for full swing and putting technique, playing statistical analysis, practice plan consultation and club fitting. The camp is an extension of the State High Performance Program which has been conducted for SA state squad players throughout 2011, and is designed to offer elite regional players a similar opportunity to current State Squad members in respect to golf tuition, training, fitness and nutrition. Selection for the program was by application, with players needing to meet a maximum handicap criteria of 5 or less. The HP training program will be run on the weekend of 8 and 9 October at Renmark Golf Club, and will be conducted by SA assistant state coach Jamie Clutterham. Five players will participate in the inaugural country training program, which has been earmarked as an annual event on the Golf SA High Performance program schedule.
