Golf SA open HP Talent ID Squad applications

Golf SA has announced that Applications for its inaugural High Performance Talent ID Squad are now open. This High Performance Talent ID Squad forms part of the pathway that extends through the Golf SA and Golf Australia High Performance Levels. This Program is aimed directly at those players who have not made the State Senior or Junior Squads but would be aiming to do so in the near future. The Program is limited to 30 male and 10 female participants for 2011/12. It is also limited to those aged between 14 and 22 years of age in 2012 with a handicap of 8 or less for males and 16 or less for females. The Program will be conducted through assessment days by the Golf SA Coaching Staff with the objective of assessing the player on their current ability and aspirations, whilst offering a clear direction along the pathway to elite level golf. These assessment days will not be just another golf clinic and will engage all stake holders through feedback and advice to the player on the steps required to continue along the “Pathway”. The inaugural assessment day is to be held at North Adelaide Golf Club on Sunday 20th November, 2011. Applications should be completed by 4th November 2011 and returned to Golf SA for assessment.
