Golf Tasmania and Golf Northern Territory are the latest State Associations to launch new websites on Golf Australia s new network. The sites will benefit from content sharing across the Golf Australia network, bringing the latest golf news, event information and game development programs to golfers across both states. Golf Northern Territory Secretary Jason De Araujo said the new site would ensure better communication and more information for Territory clubs and players. We are excited with our new website and are confident it will allow golfers and golf clubs in the NT to access more information about our great game, De Araujo said. We are not blessed with the resources of many other states and the national body and we hope the content sharing and a national approach to communication will benefit the sport in the NT. While we are small in numbers, the NT has a lot to offer and we encourage people to visit our site for more about the sport for life, De Araujo added. Golf Tasmania Operations Manager Stuart Eaton said The new site has been a great improvement for us and allows us to tap into the pool of resources at a national and state level to provide a wider variety of news and information to our web users. Golf Australia Digital Director John Sutherland said the national approach meant a broader content offering and larger pool of resources to work from. From a national perspective, if we can reduce the workloads of administrators while at the same time reaching more people with compelling Australian golf content, it is the best outcome for the sport, Sutherland said. Conversely, for us to be able bring a level of national awareness to what is going on at State level and their clubs and members is important. There are some great grass-roots stories out there and this further enriches our content offering. For more information visit www.golftasmania.org.au and www.golfnt.org.au.
