GOLF TASMANIA JULY PARTICIPATION REPORT
As I travel the state I am seeing positive signs for golf in Tasmania. Thanks to everyone I have met so far & I look forward to working with you all to grow participation throughout Tasmania.
MyGolf
There currently are seven PGA members offering their junior programs under MyGolf. There have been some changes to the program to make it more appealing to PGA members & golf clubs. I am pleased with the support I have received thus far.
Having the world number #1 golfer “Jason Day” as a MyGolf Ambassador has given a huge boost to the MyGolf Program. It is important that we are all working together to increase junior participation and having everyone support the nationally recognised junior program is a huge step in the right direction.
MyGolf can be offered by all golf clubs in Tasmania. For more details please contact me.
Swing Fit
is the women’s nationally recognised participation program. There are currently programs offered at Launceston, Seabrook & Wynyard Golf Clubs. There will be more programs offered later this year. Please take a look at the website for more details:
Any golf club interested in offering Swing Fit please contact me for details.
Golf Month
Is offered in October. This program is aimed at re-engaging lapsed members. Please consider offering an event at your golf club to promote club membership. Last year there many successful events offered Australia wide.
Golf Tasmania will be providing funding to participating golf clubs.
Registration open July 7. Please contact me for details.
