Golf WA seeks Chief Executive

APPLICATIONS ARE CLOSED As a result of the amalgamation of the existing two state golfing bodies that have represented women’s and men’s golf within Western Australia for many years, Golf WA is now seeking expressions of interest from suitable candidates to fill this newly created senior executive role. While ideal candidates will have a sports administration background and knowledge of playing golf, applications are sought from those that have well established financial, commercial and marketing skills to complement their other qualities for this pivotal role. Previous experience in dealing with government and industry bodies will be an advantage. While not considered essential, a relevant tertiary qualification will be highly regarded. Duties will include: Directing the administration operation to achieve its pre-determined objectives; Overseeing all committee processes and the preparation of timely and accurate minutes; Providing appropriate advice and support to the newly formed Board; Ensuring supportive communication to the golfing fraternity via the state wide network of member golf clubs; Overseeing the annual program of events and representative activities: Promoting golf as the sport of choice to the wider community. An appropriate remuneration package that can be tailored to appeal to the most suitable candidates is available and will be discussed at interview.
