Golf WA seeks Development Officer

Position: Development Officer, Golf WA. Golf WA, the state body for amateur golf in Western Australia, is looking for a passionate, sports minded person whose prime responsibility will be to deliver the MyGolf National Junior Program in WA and assist Golf WA s game development initiatives. Reporting to the Project Development Manager, you will also be required to assist in the junior talent identification process within WA and provide quality coordination and assistance for Golf WA events. While ideal candidates will have a sports administration background and knowledge of playing golf, essential qualities are: – The ability to teach the basic skills of the game in a school environment – The ability to successfully deliver events and projects within allocated budget and timeframes. – Outstanding written and verbal communication skills – Demonstrated ability to liaise and negotiate with staff, volunteers and other stakeholders – Proven ability and understanding in the use of Microsoft Office products. – Current drivers license and own car An attractive salary package including superannuation and travel allowance will be provided to the successful candidate.
