Golfers get in the swing at Kadina

Players go through a swing drill at Kadina Golf Club Playing numbers on the Yorke Peninsula look set for a significant boost following a hugely successful introductory clinic at Kadina Golf Club. Conducted as part of the 2011 Junior Sand Green Championships which were played at Kadina on the weekend of 28 and 29 May, the free clinics were conducted by Golf SA Development Coach Allan Telford with the assistance of Glenelg Golf Club professional Adrian Wickstein and local community coach Bill Williams. In total almost 50 adults, either complete beginners or relatively inexperienced golfers, attending the coaching clinics which featured a range of tuition on setup, swing technique and short game basics. Over 40 children from local schools and from the main tournament field kicked off the weekend&aposs festivities with a coaching clinics on the Friday afternoon, while the adults enjoyed their turn on the practice fairway on Saturday morning while the kids hit the fairways for the Championship proper. The clinics, which have become a feature of the Junior Sand Green Championship schedule in recent years, were arranged by Golf SA with the assistance of Yorke Peninsula Golf Association.
