Goss earns college conference team honours

National Squad member Oliver Goss has continued his strong start to his US college career with selection on the First Team All-SEC (Southeastern Conference) and Freshman All-SEC Team. The Freshman sensation and native of Perth has had a whirlwind of a spring semester. Goss arrived on the Big Orange campus in January, played his first tournament for UT in February, and won his first individual championship in March. In addition, Goss was playing with Masters Champion Adam Scott at the Australian Talisker Masters just six months ago. “It still hasn&apost really set in yet. I mean this is just my first semester at Tennessee,” Goss said. “I feel quite honored, seeing that the SEC is the strongest conference in the nation. I&aposm very pleased with how I&aposve been playing and this just adds to my great start as a Tennessee Vol”. Goss has been a welcomed mid-season addition for head coach Jim Kelson. Goss stepped right into the spring starting lineup and never looked back, finishing in the Top-25 each of his six tournaments including two Top-5 finishes and one victory. “We are thrilled for Oliver. He has been a huge addition to our program,” Kelson said. “He has done a great job playing at such a high level. Those All-SEC teams are difficult to make, especially as a freshman. We are just extremely proud of his accomplishment”. All-SEC honors were chosen by the league&aposs head coaches.
